Sunbury – Emma M. Lytle, 89 of N. Fourth Street passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
Emma was born September 24, 1926 in Augustaville a daughter of the late George L. and Lillie (Dornsife) Reitz.  On June 30, 1951 she married Clifford L. “Cliff” Lytle who preceded her in death on July 22, 1986.
She attended Haupt’s Country School in Augustaville.
Emma was born and raised on the family farm and later owned and operated a farm with her husband in Lower Augusta Twp until his death. She was employed seasonally with Furman’s Cannery and various local garment factories as a seamstress including; Nite Kraft, Sunbury, Miss Siren, Selinsgrove and retired after 17 years of service from Mr. Carmen Inc., Selinsgrove.
She loved the outdoors and animals, especially her cat “Sweetie”.  She found great pleasure traveling through bus trips and cruises.  She also liked to stay busy with crocheting, embroidery work, puzzles, number books and word searches.
Mrs. Lytle is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard, James, Warren “Barney” and Eugene Reitz and three sisters, Martha Boyer, Marian Longacre and Harriet Smith.
Friends and family may call from 10am to 11am Thursday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland where the funeral service will begin at 11am with Rev. Clair F. Shaffer,  Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in Mountain Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Sunbury.
