Walter F. Swank

Northumberland- Walter F. Swank, 87 a resident of the Lewis Building passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 at home.
Walter was born February 13,1935 in Rockefeller Twp., Northumberland County a son late William and Anna (Bastress) Swank. On Nov. 29, 1970 he married the former Dorothy Mae Young who preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2015.
He attended Sunbury Schools. He retired from the Selinsgrove Center as a custodian after many years of service.
Walter enjoyed camping and had a site at Forest Hills and Pine Valley Campgrounds.
He took pride in maintaining the gravesites of his family members for many years.
Walter is survived by; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Helen and Leonard Neidig, cousin, David Cook and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by; two brothers, Leroy and Lamar Swank and two sisters, Thelma Clemens and Melvinia Rothermel.
A viewing will be held from noon to 1:00pm on Thursday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland where funeral services will begin at 1:00pm with Rev. Rodney Nulph officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
