Walter R. Runkle Obituary

Walter Raymond Runkle of Sunbury, went to be with the Lord Wednesday June 12. He was born Feb. 17, 1943, the son of Harvey and Grace Runkle. He married his sweetheart, Brenda Galbraith, on June 11, 1960; their union lasted 63 years.

Walter loved to play the piano and organ and he enjoyed music of many varieties. He worked at Butterkrust Bakery for many years until his retirement. Walter was loved by his family and will be missed.

Walter is survived by his wife Brenda; daughters Joyce (Richard) Trego and

Sarah (Sandy) Walk; as well as grandchildren Katharine Trego, Ruth Trego, Reuben Walk, Sarah Catharine (Glenn Geisewhite) Walk, and great grandson Mason Geisewhite; and one sister, Lucille Zimmerman.

He was predeceased by mother Grace and stepfather Paul Snyder; a son, Carl, in infancy; and brothers John and Gilbert.

Services will be private at Walter’s request.
