Theodore N. "Ted" Sulouff, 87, of Strawbridge Road, Northumberland, passed away Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born July 12, 1936, in Northumberland, a son of the late Newton M. and Dorothy E. (Murray) Sulouff.
Ted was a 1954 graduate of Northumberland High School.
He was employed as a corrections officer at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Lewisburg and retired from Allenwood after many years of service.
Mr. Sulouff served in the Air Force from Jan. 14, 1955, until his honorable discharge on Aug. 25, 1958.
Ted was raised on the family dairy farm in Point Township. As an outdoorsman, Ted was an avid hunter. He enjoyed going to the Winfield Auctions most every week and to the casinos when he had the opportunity.
He is survived by three children and spouses, Doug and Mara Sulouff, Sherry and Galen Harvey, Judy and Mike Wilt; two stepsons and spouses, Bill and Deborah Kerstetter and Steve and Jacque Kerstetter; two grandchildren, Cassidy Walker and Branon Wilt; four step-grandchildren and spouses, Carrie and Ken Treibley, Carolyn and Jason Mitchell, Jodi and Micah Jones, Sean and Sarah Kerstetter; 12 step-great-grandchildren, River Hendricks, Paige and Aaron Treibley, Ashley, Rebecca and Ryan Mitchell, Elliah, Aidah, Isaiah, Noah-Luke and Hosanna Jones and Joshua Kerstetter, sister-in-law, Sandy Sulouff and children, Bobby, Christine and Althea.
Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha on Jan. 3, 2022, which broke a marital union of 49 years; and by two brothers, Roy and Wayne.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland.
