Stephen (Tex) L. Snyder Sr, 77, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025 at his home, following a long battle with lung cancer. He was born June 7, 1947 in Sunbury, PA, the son of Clarence W. and Rita (Pat) M. (Attig) Snyder.
Tex graduated from Shikellamy High School, class of 1966. Following graduation, he served in the United States Air Force 1966-1970. On May 31, 1969 Tex married his high school sweetheart, Mary Whyne. They were married 55 years, almost 56.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Whyne) Snyder, his sons Stephen Snyder, Jr. and Christopher Snyder; his granddaughter Wynter Snyder and her husband Tyler,of Corryton, TN; six great grandchildren, Ezekiel (Zeke), Bralynn, Madison, Jaxon, Iroh and Knox of Corryton, TN.
in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence (Bud) W. Snyder, Jr.

A viewing will be held Thursday, May 29th from 6:00-8:00pm at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury, and again Friday, May 30 from 10:00-11:00am where the funeral service will follow at 11:00am. 

Burial with military honors will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.
