Shirley A. Stahl

Shirley A. Stahl, 89, of Chestnut Street, Sunbury, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Shirley was born March 27, 1934, in Lower Augusta Township a daughter of the late Harry L. and Katie (Wolfe) Trometter. On Oct. 3, 1959, she married Lee B. Stahl who preceded her in death on June 25, 2014.
She was a 1952 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School.
She was employed by various local restaurants and enjoyed babysitting.
Mrs. Stahl attended Christ Wesleyan Church, Sunbury and was a member of the "Classics" Group.
Shirley was a member and past-matron of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #506, Sunbury.
She enjoyed playing piano, square dancing, earlier in life and more recently playing cards and bingo at the high rise apartments.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stoney L. and Ruth Ann Stahl of Sunbury; three grandchildren, Holly Roshon and husband, Rocky, Noah and Micah Stahl; two sisters, Lovina Fetterman of Northumberland and Grace Renn of Sunbury.
She was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Harry, Heber, Morris, Thad, Ralph, William and Art Trometter, and three sisters, Mary Reader, Torey Rishel and Katie Auchmuty.
A private graveside service will be held in the Herndon Cemetery.   
Arrangements are by the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury.
