Shirley M. Feese, 87, formerly of the Stayman Apartments, Shamokin Dam, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.
Shirley was born March 9, 1937, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Kimber F. and Esther (Whitmer) Lenker. On July 1, 1961, Shirley married Richard A. Feese Sr. who preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1977.
She was a 1955 graduate of Sunbury High School.
Shirley was a member of the United Lutheran Church of Sunbury.
She worked as a baker for Weis Markets for more than 20 years until her retirement.
Shirley was a member of the Tulpehocken Garden Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra L. Banghart; sons, Richard A. Feese Jr., and Scott (Sherry) Feese; grandchildren, Kenneth, Brandon, Brindy, Travis, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Natalie, Alana, Jayden and Avery; sister, Janice Smith; ex-son-in-law, Eugene Banghart; ex-daughter-in-law, Wanda Feese, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Phyllis Young and Carol DiOrio-Flory; brothers-in-law, Charlie Young and Samuel Smith; and a daughter in infancy.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at the United Lutheran Church of Sunbury, 167 Seven Points Road, Sunbury, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, June 28, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew officiating.
Interment will follow in the United Lutheran Church Cemetery.
