Shirley B. Mull Obituary

Shirley B. Mull, 89, of Mulls Hilltop Dr., passed away Tuesday, May 27, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Shirley was born Jan. 11, 1936, in Snyder County, a daughter of the late Herbert and Grace (Thomas) Bartholomew. On Jan. 15, 1957, she married Francis "Satch" Mull who preceded her in death.

She was a 1953 graduate of Sunbury High School.

Shirley was a member of the Sound of the Gospel Church, Selinsgrove.

She was a waitress for many years at several local restaurants including her two most recent, Chadwick's and then Hoss's, where she worked until her retirement.

Shirley enjoyed gardening, yard sales and spending time at the family cabin.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Kim and Maria Mull, Keith and Marcie Mull; three daughters and sons-in-law Tehani and Alan Hartman, Tammi and Scott Schinkel, Traci and Edward Hennessey; grandchildren Nicholas, Michael, Matthew, Jesse, A.J., Adam, Alex, Ryan, and Kiera; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law Paul and Joyce Bartholomew, Robert and Karen Bartholomew; and one sister Joyce Heimbach.

Shirley was preceded in death by three brothers Herbert Jr. Clayton, and Franklin Bartholomew; sister Mildred Knoebel; and two great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 2, from 10-11 a.m. at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, where the funeral service will follow at 11 with Pastor Kenny Cousar officiating.

Burial will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
