Sherman Milton Obituary

 

Shamokin Dam- Sherman A. Milton, 77, of King Avenue, passed away Friday, August 9, 2024, after injuries from a car accident.

 

Sherman was born May 16, 1947, in Paterson, New Jersey, a son of the late Clewis and Annie Ruth (Coleman) Milton.  On May 18, 2000, she married Edwana R. Sims-Milton who survives.  

 

For over 30 years he was a baker for Nabisco in New Jersey.

 

He enjoyed all sports.

 

Sherman is survived by his sons Sherman Briggs, Kevin Milton, Brian Sims, Quinton Denson, Rakeem Denson and Trey Beck-Sims, daughters Miriam Wright, Shakirah Milton, Kearniece Banks, Temiloya Milton, Ameana Denson, Qishyna Milton and Tatiana Crockett, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers Isaac, John, Joseph and Mark Milton, and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by one daughter Shermell Denso, brother William Milton, and sister Rose Marie Milton.

 

A visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, from 9:30am-11:00am at the Higher Hope Church, 1000 Race Street, Sunbury where the funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Mark Gittens officiating.

 

Interment will follow in Shreiners Cemetery, 1522 W 11th Avenue, Selinsgrove.

 

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
