Sunbury - Seena L. Rhoads, 62 of South Second Street, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at her home.
She was born April 4, 1963 in Lewisburg a daughter of Dorothy (Trutt) Black of New Columbia and the late Richard Black. On November 8, 1997 she married Michael G. Rhoads who survives.
Seena was a graduate of Warrior Run High School, she then received her nursing degree from Williamsport Area Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn College.
She was a devoted nurse, serving others at the Sunbury Community Hospital and the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Mrs. Rhoads was a member of Trintiy United Methodist Church, New Columbia.
She served her community as a Girl Scout leader and was a member of the Rescue and Americus Hose Companies. She enjoyed camping, but her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her family.
In addition to her mother and husband of 28 years, Seena is survived by; Mackenzie M. Rhoads and fiance, Austin A. Barry of Sunbury, step-daughter, Shannel Rhoads of Middleburg, grandson, Oliver M. Barry, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Lisa Black of Watsontown, Barry and Chellis Black of Milton, sister, Melinda Snyder of Watsontown and her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Christ Wesleyan Church, 238 Walnut Street, Sunbury with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am with Pastor Billy Robel officiating.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
