Samantha Joann Smith

Sunbury - Samantha Joann Smith, of Edison Ave., surrounded by her daughters and loved ones, went to be with the Lord, Friday evening, February 1, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born September 7th, 1975 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Ruth (Watson) Smith.
At the time of her death she was employed as the Front End manager at the Fourth Street Weis Markets in Sunbury. Prior to this she worked in day care at the YMCA where she also drove van for the children in afterschool care.
Sam is survived by two daughters, Kierra and Cassandra Smith, grandson, Brayson Smith, companion, Sherwood Johnson, brother, Michael Smith, aunts, Rachel and Lois and Cora who was like a mother to her.
She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandma who fiercely loved her family. She leaves them a legacy that is fitting for all - work hard, give your best in all things and be loyal to others.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm Tuesday at the former JC Penny at the Susquehanna Valley mall, Selinsgrove, current location of h2 church. Funeral services will follow at 1:30pm with Pastor Mark Gittens.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 chestnut Street, Sunbury.
