Sally Diehl Obituary
Northumberland - Sally Lynn Diehl, 78 of Front Street passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Nursing & Rehabilitation at the Mansion, Sunbury.
Sally was born July 1, 1941 in Northumberland a daughter of the late Fred H. and Mary I. (Dreibelbis) Diehl.
She was a 1959 graduate of Northumberland High School in the Commercial Course of study and was a majorette.
After obtaining her Realtor license Sally became a well liked and hard working realtor for the Bowen Agency and Square Diehl Reality Companies.
She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Northumberland. Sally was also a member of the Sunbury Business Women and the Pennsylvania Realtors Association.
Sally served the Big Sisters Program and was an active member of the Northumberland Alumni Association and the Northumberland Bicentennial Committee. She enjoyed traveling, making trips to various destinations. Her greatest pleasure came from time spent with her nieces and nephews and their families, particularly around holidays.
She is survived by her two brothers and sisters-in-law, David D. and Mary E. Diehl, Thomas H. Diehl and Carol M. Diehl all of Northumberland, her nieces and nephews and special friends, especially Eva Martin.
In addition to her parents Sally was preceded in death by one brother, Jerald K. "Jerry" Diehl and sister-in-law, Helen B. (Woodcock) Diehl.
Friends and family may visit from 10:00am to 11:00am Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home 210 King Street, Northumberland followed by a memorial service at 11:00am with Vicar Karla Leiby officiating. At Sally's request, those who wish to attend are asked to dress in casual attire.
Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sally's memory may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 300 Queen Street, Northumberland, PA 17857.
