Lewisburg - Rosemary Hess, 97, of East Tressler Blvd, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, in Evangelical Hospital.

 

Rosemary was born May 9, 1926 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Conelius and Agatha (Brill) Jacob.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Albert E. Hess on March 30, 1993.

 

She was a devoted homemaker.

 

Rosemary was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Sunbury.

 

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed baking and taking care of others.  

 

Rosemary is survived by her three children Kenneth Hess and wife Ruthy, Sandra McGowan and Teresa Bender and her husband James, fourteen grandchildren Kenneth Hess (Tracey), Jennifer Meade (William), Christropher Nash (Karen), Amanda Heflin (K.P.), Rebecca Bender (Ryan Sampsell), Alex Bender (Joanna), Nicholas Bender (Kelly), Luke Bender (Kayla), Rachel, Steven and Victoria Bender, Jared Bender (Kenzie), Teddy Bender (Brittany), Vincent Bender (Heidi), 19 great-grandchildren and one sister Catherine Kristoff.

 

She was preceded in death by her three brothers.

 

Friends and family may visit Friday, October 20, from 10am-11am at St. Monica Catholic Church, 109 Market Street, Sunbury where the funeral mass will follow at 11am with Father Fred Wangwe AJ officiating.

 

Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.

 

Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
