Robin E. Rebuck

June 29, 1956 ~ May 2, 2020 (age 63)

Obituary

Robin E. (Malone) Rebuck, 63 of Northumberland, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 after several years of failing health.

Robin was born on June 29th, 1956 to the late Mary Jane Hunsinger Malone Mordan and Charles Kenneth Malone. At the age of 10, Robin lost her father while he was serving his country during the Vietnam War, and continued to be lovingly raised by her step-father, Earl D. Mordan Sr.

She was a 1976 Graduate of Shikellamy High School. Growing up, she cherished her time with the many neighborhood friends she gained while living on Chestnut Street in Sunbury. During high school, Robin enjoyed athletics, especially softball, basketball, and cheerleading. After  graduating high school, she began a 35 year career as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She spent her life selflessly caring for others as a Nurses Aide at the Sunbury Community Hosptial, various area nursing homes, and as a private duty nurse. In addition to her love of nursing, she worked hard supporting her family as a waitress, retail associate, and warehouse employee.

On August 27th, 1983, after a ten year courtship, she married David I. Rebuck who survives. Together, they raised their two sons, Andrew and Adam, who were the absolute joys of her life.

The greatest pride of Robin's life were her sons and grandsons, who were always loved beyond measure. She took great pride in spoiling and doting on all of her boys.

Robin was a phenomenal cook, always making sure that no one in her family went hungry. She loved crafting, camping, and traveling,  often packing up her son's for weekend beach trips. She also loved being deeply involved with Little League and Cub Scouts when her son's were young. As her son's grew, she maintained her involvement in their lives, always welcoming their friends in to her home with open arms as if they were her own. Robin was the ultimate social butterfly, and had many cherished friends from various areas of her life, some of which had remained close to her since childhood. Everyone who knew Robin loved her for her generous heart and ability to make them feel special. Robin was also notorious for always being unapologetically herself, saying whatever was on her mind, regardless of the circumstances.

Robin is survived by her husband of 37 years, David I. Rebuck, her two son's;  Andrew D. Rebuck and his wife Erin (Jones) Rebuck of Selinsgrove, and Adam D. Rebuck and his wife Ashley (Cellitti) Rebuck of Sunbury. Three grandsons; Gavin, Carter, and Brooks Rebuck. She is also survived by six siblings;  Mary "Bunny" (Malone) Bostow and her husband Paul of Kentucky, Charles Malone Jr., Patrick Malone and wife Michelle of Mount Carmel, Kevin Malone and partner Tom of Virgina, Earl "Skip" Mordan and wife Cindy of Bloomsburg, and Mark Mordan and wife Bonnie of Bloomsburg. Robin also had valued relationships with her husband's siblings; Cindy (Rebuck) Manning and Doug Manning of of Northumberland, Tina (Rebuck) Heim and Eric Heim of Stonington, and Lisa Rebuck of Sunbury. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry H. Malone.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be announced for a future date to give all her friends and loved ones a time to gather and remember Robin's life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Reformed United Church of Christ, 160 Chestnut St, Sunbury, PA 17801.
