Robert McKay Wetzel, a beloved member of the Lancaster, PA community, passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Born to the Late Harry E Wetzel and Late Grace A Wetzel, Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia A Wetzel, who passed away in 2019, after an inspiring 61 years of marriage.

Robert was a loving father to six children: Nikki S Banning of Lancaster, the Late Jami T Wetzel, the Late Christian M Wetzel, Chad E Wetzel of Shrewsbury, Cory L Richetti, wife of Joseph F Richetti of Pittsburgh, and Erin W Neff, wife of Jamie R Neff of Lancaster. His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in their accomplishments and joys.

With a heart full of love, Robert also cherished his 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. While three grandchildren preceded him in death, his love for them endured, leaving behind cherished memories and legacies. He is also survived by his sister, Donna L Walters of OK, and several nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly.

Robert's professional journey was marked by dedication and passion. He began his career as a photographer for the US Navy, capturing moments that would live on in history. Later, he transitioned into the role of finance manager for Household Finance, where his meticulous attention to detail and integrity left a lasting impact. Even after retiring from there, he continued to contribute to his community as a commercial realtor, leaving his mark on Lancaster's landscape.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
