Northumberland - Pearl L. Lehman, 94 formerly of Hilbish Heights, later Oak Park and a the Lewis Building past away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Nottingham Village where she had been a resident.
Pearl was born July 21, 1923 a daughter of the late Grover Clevland and Nancy Elizabeth Barner. On August 5, 1944 she married Reed F. Lehman who preceded her in death on April 21, 2003.
She attended Mill Hall High School. She was a fly tier for the Pequea Fish Hook Factory in Loganton and later became a manager for W.T. Grants, Sunbury.
Mrs. Lehman was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Northumberland where she used her knitting talents for the Guidepost Project, Knit for Kids.
Along with her passion for knitting Pearl also enjoyed playing bingo and working on puzzles.
Pearl is survived by her son, Robert L. Lehman of Sunbury, three grandsons, Chad Lehman and wife Nicole of VA, Justin Lehman of Duncannon, Brock Lehman and wife Beth of Sunbury, four great-grandchildren, Cameron, Alexander, Addison and Jackson and one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy H. and Sandra Barner of Mill Hall.
In addition to her parents and husband of 58 years she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanne M. Karchner, two sisters, Betty Haffley and Marie Rogers and four brothers, Clifford, Raymond, Grover and Gordon Barner.
Friends and family may call from 6:00pm to 7:45 pm Monday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home 210 King Street, Northumberland where a service of the Eastern Star will follow at 7:45pm.Visitation will again be from 10:00am to 11:00am Tuesday at the funeral home where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am with Pastor Leslie Halchak officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
