Northumberland - Paul M. Kohl, 80, a longtime resident of Northumberland passed away on February 17, 2020 at Vintage Knolls in Danville where he has been residing.
Paul was born February 7, 1940 in Northumberland a son of the late Henry J. and Thelma (Crouse) Kohl. On May 26, 1973 he married the former Grace L. James who survives.
He attended Northumberland Schools. He was a dedicated worker at Furman’s Cannery in the maintenance department where he retired after 50+ years of service.
Paul was an active and dedicated member of the Point Township Fire Police, as well as the Tuckahoe Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, riding four wheeler and tinkering around in the garage and basement. He also loved taking family vacations and traveling.
In addition to his wife of 46 years Paul is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Julie and Terry Schultz of Silver Spring, MD, Mae and Terry Patterson of St. Petersburg, FL, Sandy and Will Derr of Watsontown, one son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Judy Bower of Danville seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law John and Judy Kohl of Northumberland, Robert and Silvia Kohl of Sunbury, Roy and Alma Kohl of Sunbury and one sister Debbie Kohl of Northumberland.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Penny Faunteroy, brothers, Stanley and Samuel and sister, Bonnie.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Vintage Knolls, Dr. Greg Burke, and the Geisinger Hospice team for the great care given to Paul.
At Paul’s request, there will be no funeral services.
