Paul Sherman “Sherm” Dressler Jr., 90, of Sheetz Avenue, Northumberland, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Sherm was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Mount Pleasant Mills, a son of the late Paul S. and Toledo M. (Hornberger) Dressler. He married Joyce L. Weaver who survives.
He attended Aline School. Sherm was employed by Sunbury Textile Mill and then the Selinsgrove Center where he worked as a patient aide until his retirement.
Sherm was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Northumberland and the East End Fire Company.
He enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and James Baker of Northumberland and Debbie and Torrey Fleetman of Lancaster; his son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jolene Dressler of Sunbury; his grandchildren including Jeremy Baker and his wife Karen; his great-grandchildren, including Jonathan Baker and wife Betty and their four children; his five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Mary Albright, Mildred Campbell, Shirley and James Benner, Nancy and Stanley Rohrbach, and Sandra and Richard Stamfel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, William L., Palmer in infancy, Marlin H., Robert E. and Dale E. Dressler; sisters, Betty J. Radel and Faye E. Hepner; sisters-in-law, Grace, Jane, Madlyn and Kay Dressler; and brothers-in-law, Josiah E. Albright and Alvin Radel.
Funeral services will be private with the Rev. Leslie Halchek officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland.
