Sunbury - Nathan A. Carter, 85, of Reagan Street, entered into eternal rest at home, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, to be with his Lord with his family by his side.
Nathan was born February 16, 1939 in Sunbury a son of the late Russell and Margaret Carter. He was married to Beverly Carter who survives.
He was a graduate of Northumberland High School.
Nathan was employed by Butter Krust Baking Co. for 43 years.
He attended Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church.
Nathan enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, sports and wrestling but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son Nathan Carter II (Laurie), his daughter Heather Pescht (Lutz), stepdaughters Kathy Adams (Mark), Diane Morgan (Dennis), stepson Robert Cook, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and sisters Nancy Louis (Bob),
Gernilee Carter, and Susan Carter.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Crystal Snyder and brothers Donavan, James and Robert Carter.
A visitation will be held, Monday, December 2 at 10:00am at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, 967 Mile Hill Road, Sunbury, followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 with Pastor Jeff Dunkle and Pastor Josh Gibson officiating.
Interment will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury.
