Naomi Gallo Obituary

Naomi E. Gallo 88, Northumberland, Passed away Friday March 13th at her home.
She was born December 1st, 1931 in Salem (Selinsgrove) a daughter of the late Clarence and Edna Wenrick Rowe.
Naomi went to Sunbury schools.  Her life changed when she starting working at Westinghouse with Christine Gallo, who introduced her to Pete Gallo.  It was love at first sight.
On January 2nd, 1954 she married the love of her life.  They shared a long wonderful life together with so many memorable moments. On April 7th she lost him after 65 years of marriage.  She has been waiting to join him in their home with the Lord Jesus Christ ever since they parted.
Naomi was a Snyder County Farm girl who was a great cook, great mom and a wonderful wife.  She was employed at Westinghouse, Stuck Brothers Restaurant, and worked 30 plus years for the Shikellamy School District in the Priestley, and High School cafeterias.
During her younger years she played cards in a card club with her good friends.  She loved to shop and enjoyed a good bargain. She loved going "Down Home", which was the Gallo Homestead where all the relatives would gather on the weekends.  They used to follow the local bands and enjoyed going out dancing and socializing.
Her favorite hobby next to cleaning was baking.  She was known for her delicious pies and she always made special dishes for her sons.  She loved to visit her sister in California and all our relation there.  She always looked forward to our California family visiting her and dad.  Most of all she loved the Lord and all the family members of her church at the Nazarene Crossroads especially Sandy and Leon whom they developed a special friendship.
Naomi had a wonderful life, and will be missed by many including her two sons and daughter-in-laws Phil and Becky Gallo of Nichols, NY, Pete and Pat Gallo of Northumberland, six grandkids, 11 great grandchildren, one sister Thelma Schimmel, four sister-in-laws, Betsy Bucher, Rosie Schrader, Christine and Mary Gallo and many nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by two brothers and their wives, Clarence Jr/Betsy Rowe and William/Blanch Rowe and three brother-in-laws, Orlando, Vito, and Angelo Gallo.
We would like to give a special thanks to her care givers Crystal, Lori, Cheryl, Cameo, and Linda.  Her hair dresser who came to her house to make her feel special Amy.  Aunt Chris who called her every night since her husbands passing.  Sandy and Leon for all their help with everything throughout the past couple years.
