Michael McKinley Kratzer, 74, of Sunbury, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at Birchwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Nanticoke.
He was born May 1, 1950, in Clearfield, a son of the late Earl Robert Sr. and Betty Lou (Teats) Kratzer. On June 12, 1988, he married the former Nancy K. Engle who survives.
Mike was a graduate of Middleburg schools and graduated college in Williamsport.
He worked for various local businesses including driving truck for Campbell Trucking, he was a D.J. and station engineer for Wiggle Radio Station, Commonwealth Security and retired from Keystone Forge, Northumberland in 2015.
He served as a lay speaker at several churches including Miller's Crossroad's Church where he was a member.
In addition to his wife of 36 years, Mr. Kratzer is survived by two sisters, Melissa Durborow of Harrisburg and Georgiann Stroup of Richfield, and his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Kratzer Jr.; and one sister, Gail Bollinger.
Friends and family may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury where funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barbara J. Welsh officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
