Michael John Filbert, 40, of John's Way, Northumberland, passed away in a house fire along with his stepmother, Wendy L. Filbert on Monday, March 4, 2024.
He was born on Feb. 6, 1984, in Lewisburg, a son Michael E. and Wendy L. Filbert of Northumberland and Jill (Smith) and Frankie Gray of N.C.
Michael John was a 2005 graduate of Milton High School.
He attended Emmanuel Bible Fellowship church, Sunbury.
He was an honorary member of the Point Township Fire Company 
Michael John was an avid sports fan who could recite stats and facts from his favorite teams, particularly the Philadelphia Phillies. He had a great knack for completing jigsaw puzzles.
He was asocial butterfly who could put a smile on the faces of those around him.
Surviving are his three brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael S. and Kay S. Erdman of Northumberland, Kyle R. and Felicia N. Erdman of Selinsgrove, Brent E. and Megan L. Filbert of Northumberland; and two aunts, Judy Ariganello and husband, Ron of Wilmington, Del., and Fawn Smith.
Funeral services will be announced at a later date with Pastor Joshua Gibson officiating.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
