Michael A. Davies, 72, of Northumberland, passed away peacefully on October 29th, 2024, at Watsontown Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was born June 1st, 1952 to the late Robert Davies Sr and the late Dorothy (Boden) Davies.
Mike was a 1971 graduate from Shikellamy High School after moving to Northumberland from Garden City, PA where he had previously attended Nether Providence schools.
After high school he studied accounting at Williamsport Area Community College. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies in which he never missed cheering them on. Throughout many years he was often seen catching a ride on Packer Island to head to Sunbury to go to the YMCA or hang out with friends. His strong determination throughout life allowed him to overcome many physical and medical obstacles while living with cerebral palsy.
Mike is survived by two sons, Joseph and Brian Davies, one sister, Susan Davies of Northumberland, one brother-in law, Dale Schaffner of Northumberland as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Davies Jr, two sisters, Deborah Schaffner and Janice Davies and nephew Dale Schaffner, all of Northumberland.
A visitation will be held Monday, November 4, from 5:00-6:30 pm at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland where the memorial service will follow at 6:30pm with Pastor Mark Gittens officiating
