Michael L. Bordner, 68, of Northumberland passed away at Geisinger Medical Center, Monday, February 24, 2025.
He was born January 29, 1957, in Sunbury to the late Ralph L. and Nancy J. (Whalen) Bordner. In 1992 he married Christine I. Bordner.
Michael was a 1974 graduate of Selinsgrove High School. He served in the US Army from ____1978 to 1981 and was stationed in Darmstadt, Germany and Ft Hood, Missouri.
Michael was employed by the City of Sunbury for 33+ years working in the Parks and Recreation and Street Departments before retiring in 2019. He was also a member of the Sunbury FOE and American Legion, Post 44.
Michael is survived by his wife, Christine, son, Fred Bordner, Altoona, daughters, Laurie Price, Northumberland, and Danielle Bordner and husband Takuya Nakagawa, Japan, and step-daughter Erin Wolfe, Oklahoma, grandchildren: Avery, Jack and Lailah Bordner, Caleb Bordner and Alexis Frits, Jayden and Aiden Wolfe and great granddaughter, Aria Patterson.
Michael is also survived by one brother, Randy (Ann) Bordner, and two sisters, Sharon (Tom) Bittle, and Sandra (Gerald) Ressler, and one brother-in-law Richard (Marcy) Roth Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, brother, Ralph Muenster, sister, Kathy Bordner and father-in-law Richard Roth Sr.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 28 from 9:30am-11:00am at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury where the funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
Interment will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
