Max R Fontana Obituary

Max R. Fontana, 22 of Seventh Street, Northumberland, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, at his home.


Max was born July 18, 2001, in Lewisburg, a son of Joshua T. Fontana and Angela R. Ramer of Northumberland.


He was a 2019 graduate of Shikellamy High School, attended Lock Haven University and received a bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg University in psychology in 2022.


Max was employed as a counselor with Community Services Group.


He was a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi music fraternity and was an instructor with the Shikellamy Marching Braves. His passion was found in gardening and the love of animals especially his dog, Shorty, the greatest joy in his life.


In addition to his parents, Max is survived by his brother, David T. Fontana of Northumberland; aunts and uncles, Bridgette and William Kaechle and their children, Evan and Tamara Ramer and their son; maternal grandparents, David and Shelley Ramer of Northumberland, and his many extended family and friends.


A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland, followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ryan Brosious officiating.


In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hillside SPCA, 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901 which was close to Max's heart.
