Sunbury - Mary Ann Thurston, 92, of Dewart Street, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at her home.
Mary Ann was born September 23, 1932 in Sunbury a daughter of the late Alvin and Hazel (Paul) Wiest. On October 4, 1952, she married Richard C. Thurston who preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Sunbury High School.
Mary Ann worked at the Sunbury Social Club and Keithan's in Sunbury.
She enjoyed music, listening to bands, lunch out with friends and was an avid Penn State football fan.
Mary Ann is survived by son Scott Thurston, daughter Deborah Fisher, grandchildren Shaye Currie, Elizabeth Adams (Tommy), Ian Marshall (Lisa Raup), great grandchildren Nina, Carson and Ambry, many nieces, and her cats Gus and Jasper.
She was preceded in death by son Steven Thurston and sister Nancy.
