Mary C. Cundiff, 72, of South 10th Street, Sunbury, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, at Nursing & Rehabilitation at The Mansion.

Mary was born Sept. 13, 1952, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Lawrence Sr. and Betty (Conrad) Kelly. She was married to James Cundiff who survives.

Mrs. Cundiff worked as a nurse's aide and caregiver for her career at Nottingham Village and Caregivers of America.

She enjoyed playing bingo and word search puzzles at the senior center and patio music at the Sunbury Social Club. She also enjoyed her family trips to the beach, her neighborhood walks with Nancy and sitting on the front porch.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris M. and Tammie L. Vayda of Sunbury; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa J. and Joel C. Dreese of Northumberland; grandchildren, Justina, Justin, Jeremy, Jarrett and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Jaden, Emma, Alphonse and Aria; brother, Lawrence Jr.; and sisters, Susan and Beatrice.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ella Mae, Karen and Nancy.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Burial will be in Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
