Lucille M. Zimmerman, 86

Lucille “Lucy” Mary (Runkle) Zimmerman, of The Manor at Penn Village in Selinsgrove, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2024.

She was born December 3,1937 in Sunbury, the daughter of Harvey and Grace Runkle. She was married to Elmer Zimmerman for 54 years until his death on December 3, 2013. Lucy had many fond memories of taking long road trips together with Elmer to places such as New England, Canada and even California.

Lucy enjoyed playing the organ in earlier years, as well as doing various crafts and growing beautiful african violets. She had a quiet nature and tried to make the best of life even when it turned difficult. She was very appreciative of the wonderful care received from the staff at The Manor at Penn Village.

Her former places of employment include Leglon, Sunbury Textile Mill, Nottingham Village, and JPM. She was a member of Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church in Sunbury.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers John, Gilbert, and Walter.

The viewing will be from 10:30-11:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, led by Pastor Jeff Dunkle.

Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
