Celebrating the departure of our Beloved Mother, Linda "Moo Moo" Parker, who left the earth on Tuesday, November 26th, 2024 after a long battle with complex health issues and began her new journey in God's heavenly realm with our Lord and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. She was born on May 24, 1947 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania of the late Hilda Virginia Yeager Hartman and Alvin Yeager. A private service with immediate family will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd.
She is survived by her four children, Andrea Decker, Jessica Viva, Meredith-Parker-Shea, Matthew Parker and her four grandchildren, Jeffrey Kauffman, Roman Viva, Chase and Tighe Parker. She was married 33 years to Attorney Andrew Parker. Linda, Andrew and their children originally resided in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. She is the great-great-great granddaughter of Governor Simon Snyder of Pennsylvania who served three consecutive terms.
Linda resided in Allentown, Pennsylvania, was a gifted and published poet as well as a healer working 27 years as a Certified massage therapist. An extremely witty and clever woman ahead of her time, using holistic healing practices with her family before they even came into vogue. She enjoyed simply being a mother and wife, loved gardening and cooking, enjoying her home and the many dogs she enjoyed over her lifetime. She introduced us to the arts as well as equestrian horseback riding. Her inherited traits are evident in all of her children as well as her grandchildren.
It pains us to say goodbye but we know we will be together again. Bon Voyage Linda Lou, we love you and will miss you terribly. Thank you for all of the love, wisdom and nurturing you gave, for it lives on in all of us.
