Linda Hixson Obituary

Northumberland – Linda Y. Hixson, 78, of Hanover Street, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born February 21, 1942 in Sunbury a daughter of the late George J. and Scharlet (Nuss) Young.  
Linda was a 1960 graduate of Northumberland High School.  She was employed by various local businesses, including; Keller Marine, Sunbury Feed Mill,  Geisinger Medical Center, Montgomery Ward and Walmart.
She was a longtime active member of Weight Watchers, enjoyed crossword puzzles, knitting and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. She also treasured her trips to Delaware to visit her sister.
Linda is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Christopher A. and Sharon L. Hixson of Selinsgrove, Michael A. Hixson and his companion Denise A. Hill of Berwick, she was Nina to her grandchildren Sarah W., Andrew C. and Nathan M. Hixson, sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Ed Neidig of DE, her long time  companion James W. Wallace, special cousin Carol Zimmerman, nephew, Rick Neidig and niece, Vicky Neidig both of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by a son in infancy, grandson Matthew E.R. Hixson, twin brother, Bobby in infancy and former husband, Gary V. Hixson.
Friends and family may visit Friday, March 6, 2020 from 10:00-11:00am at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland where funeral services will follow at 11:00am.
Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
