Lawrence H. "Larry" Roush, 71, of Walnut Street, Sunbury, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Larry was born on Nov. 18, 1952, in Alexandria, Va., a son of the late Robert and N. Lorraine (Hughes) Roush. On Feb.14, 1987, he married the former Connie S. Dressler, who survives.
He was a graduate of Alexandria, Va., schools. He retired after 28 years of service as a steel fabricator at Leer Industries, Milton.
Mr. Roush was a life member of the East End Hose Co., Sunbury. As an outdoorsman, Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed taking care of his pets, Koi fishpond, and was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Washington Redskins. His greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 37 years, Larry is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John II and Jennifer Karge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Tony Wells, Jessica and Ernie Ackley all of Sunbury; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca, Jacob, Noah, Lily, John, Madelyn and Avery, six great-grandchildren and his small circle of close friends.
A private celebration of Larry's life will be held by his family.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
