Northumberland - Larry J. Riggs, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at his home.

 

Larry was born on May 19, 1941, in Point Township, a son of the late George P. and Kathryn M. (Sulouff) Riggs.

 

He retired from a career as a civil engineer for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. 

 

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sherry Bassett Riggs, and his second wife, Joyce Minnick Riggs, He is survived by his 4 siblings, George, Bonnie, Pam and Phil.  He was also dearly loved by his 5 children, Stephanie, Cynthia, Jennifer, Stephen, and Jonathan, as well as his two step-children, Nikki and Todd, and all of their spouses.  His 11 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren were the delight of his life. 

 

 He was an active and joyful member of Sunbury Bible Church.

 

A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the Sunbury Bible Church, 135 Spruce Hollow Road, Northumberland where funeral services will begin at 11:00am with Pastor Preston Atkinson officiating.

Burial with military honors will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington
