Larry D. Raker, 68, of Ferster Hill Road, Sunbury, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, at his home.
Larry was born Feb. 26, 1957, in Sunbury, a son of the late Donald R. and Leona C. (Auman) Raker.
He was a 1975 graduate of Shikellamy High School and had worked for PP&L until he retired.
Larry was a 2-time Inaugural Chaos - FFL champion.
He was a man who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved the outdoors, hunting, sports, campfires and woodworking. More than anything, he treasured his Sundays spent with family, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come.
Larry is survived by his four sons Shane (Katie), Noah (Courtney), Seth (Anna), Chase (Katie); his daughter Cheyenne Vega (Andrew); three grandchildren Leah, Natalie, and Sofia; two brothers Terry (Gayle), Randy (Sandra); two sisters Diana Einsig (Randy), Joanna Hovenstine (Edward); and the mother of his children Kimberly Prezekop.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, at 11:45 in St. Elias Cemetery, 2016 Church Road, Sunbury.
Arrangements are by the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
