Paxinos, Pennsylvania Kathy M. Schleig, 72.

Kathy M. Schleig, 72, affectionately known as Cass, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at her home in Paxinos.

Born in Northumberland on May 11, 1953. She was the 2nd child James and Esther Persing. On June 11, 1971 she married James E. Schleig, Sr. in St. John's Lutheran Church in Northumberland. They were married for 54 years until the time of her passing.

Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Shikellamy High School.

When she retired, she was employed as a patient aide at the Selinsgrove Center.

Kathy is survived by her husband, James E. Schleig, Sr., her children, Gina Musser, James E. Schleig, Jr., Marie Reichard, and Lisa Lenig. She was the grandmother of 7 grandchildren, and great grandmother of 2. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Persing, Teresa Meisinger, and brother, Dave Persing.

Kathy will be remembered as a beautiful wife and compassionate mother. She was loved by many including her nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 26, from 10-11 am at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland followed by the funeral service at 11 am.

Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland
