Sunbury - Joseph “Joe” E. Sprenkel, 61, Mile Hill Road, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

 Joe was born January 8, 1963, in Sunbury, the son of the late Clyde E. and Patricia E. (McGlinn) Sprenkel.  On July 8, 2000, he married Tara Boyer who survives.

 He was a 1981 graduate of Shikellamy High School.

 Joe owned several Domino’s Pizzas throughout the area for 25 years.

 Joe was known for supporting his community, especially programs that benefited the youth. He was an Upwards Basketball coach at Stonington Baptist Church. He also coached both boys and girls Ivy League Basketball for Shikellamy.

 Joe was an avid New York Giants, Philadelphia Phillies, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan.

 In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Patrick, daughters Kelly, Erin, and Shannen, and his brother Euguene Lizardi and his wife Ruth. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and great-nieces.

 A viewing will be held Monday, October 14, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury, where the funeral service will be held at 7:00pm.
