Jean L. Roush Obituary

Jean L. Roush, 93, formerly of Sunbury, passed away Thursday, January 30 at Buffalo Valley, Lewisburg.

Jean was born April 8, 1931, in Sunbury a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Burkey) Roush.  

She was a graduate of Shikellamy High School, Sunbury.

Jean worked for Wil-hold in Sunbury until she retired.

She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church Sunbury.

Jean was an animal lover and especially loved cats.  She will be fondly remembered for her Christmas cookies and baking pies  Jean also enjoyed taking polaroid pictures and making albums.

She is survived by her niece Kathy Derr (Greg), and nephew Ken Roush (Jodi), great nieces and nephews Justin, Jesse and Lacie Derr, and Tucker and Tyler Roush, and her great -great nephew Jude Derr who always made her giggle.

Jean was preceded in death by brother Jack Roush and sister-in-law Mary Roush.

A viewing will be held Saturday, February 8, from 10:00am-11:00am at the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury where the will funeral service will be held at 11:00am with her pastor Ronald Troup officiating.

Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

The family would like to thank the nurses on Bluejay at Buffalo Valley for caring for her for the last three years and Coranne Gordon, who cared for her when she was at home and adored her. 

Donations in Jean's memory may be made to her church, Faith United Methodist Church, 203 Arch Street, Sunbury.
