James L. Haupt, 87, of Irish Valley Rd., Paxinos, passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, in the Nursing and Rehabilitation at the Mansion.
He was born March 12, 1938, in Shamokin, a son of the late Wilford E. and Mabel E. (Sober) Haupt. On Dec. 24, 1960, he married Naomi B. Reitz, who survives.
James attended Trevorton High School.
He was an avid farmer and large-scale vegetable grower and attended farm markets for over 60 years.
James attended Augustaville Wesleyan Church, Paxinos.
In addition to farming he enjoyed collecting trains and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Naomi; his daughter and son-in-law Lois and Phil Manney; his son Wilford Haupt (Brigette); grandchildren, Katarina (Sergio) and Monica (Cody); great-grandchildren, Maribelle, Fernando and Lorenzo.
A viewing will be held Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Augustaville Wesleyan Church, 2548 PA-890, Paxinos, where the funeral service will be held at 11 with Pastor Greg Clendaniel officiating.
Burial will be held in Summit Cemetery, Paxinos.
