James L. "Jim" Gordon, 83, of Seven Points Road, Sunbury, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024, at his home.

Jim was born June 29, 1940, in Sunbury, a son of the late Dorothy (Gordon) Conrad. On April 9, 1960, he married the former Phyllis Jean Deibler who survives.

He attended Sunbury High School.

Mr. Gordon was a truck driver for many years for various local businesses and was a dispatcher for Rea & Derick. 

As an outdoorsman, Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid New York Yankees fan, was a pitcher for his men's league softball and coached baseball. He was active at the Selinsgrove Speedway driving the tow truck for Schik's Garage.

Earlier in life he enjoyed sitting at the Eat-A-Bite and more recently at Pop Snyder's Lunch. 

Jim was a very hard worker who provided well for his family.

In addition to his wife of 64 years, Jim is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Jamie D. and Brown A. Feaster of Northumberland and Jodi D. Graybill and companion John R. Graybill; two sons, James D. Gordon and companion Lois A. Cooper and Joshua D. Gordon, all of Sunbury; grandchildren, Zachary and wife Jennifer, Jake and wife Roslyn, Sarah, Kyle, Brittany, John Robert and wife Essie, Carrie and companion Jimi, Joshua, Jonathon, Samuel, Joslyn and companion Patrick, Jackie and husband Greg and Jamie; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Raegan, Audrielle, Ezra, Ivan, Elijah, Novella, Zimri, Tyler, Gearran, Brixsel, Brindy, Kylie and Adalee; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jerry Bussey of NY; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and Jon McCormick of Watsontown, his nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, his dog Shadow. 

He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Lefty and Noot Deibler.

At Jim's request there will be no funeral services.
