Sunbury - Henry C. Troupe,  79 of Edison Ave. passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his home.

He was born on November 4, 1944 in Sunbury a son of the late Henry J. and Katherine E. (Pflug) Troupe. On May 6, 1967 he married the former Almetta H. Pegg who survives.

Henry was a 1962 graduate of Sunbury High School, was a graduate of Advance Schools Inc. which he attended from 1972 to 1974 and completed courses during 1990 to 1991 at the Selinsgrove Institute of Technology of Welding.

He proudly served with the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1966.

Mr. Troupe was employed by various businesses including, Celotex, Milton Manufacturing Steel Mill from 1979 to 1990 and Philips Products from 1992 to 2002.

He was associated with many civic organizations including; American Legion Post #44, Northumberland, Veterans of Foreign Wars # 1532, Sunbury, Northumberland Fire Company #1. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons Lodge #22 and the #65 Tall Cedars of Lebanon.

Henry was an avid fisherman, enjoyed roller skating and running the clam bakes at the steel mill over the years. He also served as manager of the Acorn Little League from 1995 to 1996.

In addition to his wife of 57 years, Henry is survived by; his son and daughter-in-law, Duane M. and Kelly M. Troupe of Northumberland, grandchildren, Nikolas and Talle Troupe and cousins, Gary Wentzel and wife Susan of Shamokin Dam and James Troup and wife, Tammy of Beavertown.

He was preceded in death by one cousin, Carol Felix.

Funeral services will be private at his family's convenience.
