Sunbury - Grant W. Renninger, 91, formerly of Fairmont Avenue, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, in Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.
Grant was born January 18, 1933, a son of the late James R. and Elsie Renninger. On June 21, 1952, he married the former Janne L. Schindler who survives.
He was a graduate of Northumberland High School.
Grant was a driver for the Butter-Krust Baking Co. for over 30 years until his retirement.
He was a life member of the East End Hose Company, Sunbury.
Grant enjoyed swimming, fishing and yard work but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids and his family.
In addition to his wife of 72 years, he is survived by his son Grant Renninger (Holly), his daughters, Susan Trometter (William), Linda Kistner (Richard), Lehna Gross, Janet Smith (Joey), grandchildren Adrienne, William, Kerry, Stacie, Matthew, Nichole, Tyler, Casey, Sydney, Mistilynn, and Jade, great grandchildren Jessica, Kaitlin, Mackenzie, Brie, Nicholas, Ryan, Grayson, Gage, Maxton, Isla, Mason, Ali, Ella, Brylee, Keegan, Addison, and Camden and great -great -grandchildren Cameren, Salem, Griffin, Emmie, and Brecken.
He was the youngest of the 15 Renningers and was preceded in death by his 14 siblings.
A viewing will be held Monday, October 21, from 10:00am-11:00am at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury where the funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
