Gladys E Ticknor Obituary

Gladys E Ticknor, 83, Sunbury, passed away on Nov. 25, 2025, at her home surrounded by family.


Gladys was born Dec. 10, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Russell E and Roena (Kratzer) Campbell. She spent most of her early childhood in Penn Township, Selinsgrove, near the Camelback Bridge. Her family moved to rural Sunbury, and she graduated high school in 1959.


On June 6, 1974, she married Bruce L. Ticknor, who survives. She was a member of the St. Elias Church in Sunbury. Gladys had worked many different jobs in her lifetime, most recently in a ticket booth at Knoebels Amusement Park. Gladys enjoyed sewing, baking and tending to her flowers outside her home.


Surviving are daughters Cindy (Mark) Ramer, Cathy Firman and son Steven Fisher all of Sunbury.


She is also survived by her grandchildren Amber Long (Eli) and Danielle Firman, of Sunbury, Ben Firman (Addison), of Milton, Sarah and Jeremy Fisher, of Shamokin, Bradley Fisher (Bailey), of New Mexico and by her great-grandchildren Kaden Jones (Ashley), Xander, Sadie, Killian Carapezza and Theodore Long, of Sunbury, Hudson Firman, of Milton, Katie and Raven Iacoboni of Connecticut. Also surviving are her sister, Arlene King, of Gordonville, and brother Larry Campbell (Rita), of Sunbury.


She was preceded in death by her sisters, Geraldine Reed, of Elizabethville and Marian Hackenberg, of Middleburg, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth A Spaseff Iacoboni. At her request, there will be no viewing. Services will be conducted privately. Arrangements are by the Blank Funeral Home, State Street, Sunbury PA.
