Sunbury - Gladys J. Hill, 91, of State Route 61, passed away Tuesday, July 1, at Mountain View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Gladys was born October 22, 1933, in Columbia County a daughter of the late John and Vera (Weikel) Hertzog. On July 6, 1952, she married Clarence H. Hill who survives.
She was a graduate of Shamokin High School.
Gladys was a sewing machine operator for a factory in Elysburg, her and her husband catered for Knoebels Amusement Park for several years after she retired.
She was a member of Ash Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband of 73 years she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Terry and Elaine Hill, two daughters and one son-in-law Cheryl Hill, Shelly and Ken Bower, grandchildren Brandon (Amy),
Allison (Chris), Kacee (Jeff), and Brandon (Laura), nine great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to Ash Grove United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 45 Mountain Road, Shamokin, PA 17872.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
