Gary Londis Obituary

Northumberland – Gary Londis, 66, of Lincoln Street, passed away peacefully Monday, June 26, 2017 in Nottingham Village, with his wife by his side after a long, hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s.

Gary was born January 8, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY a son of the late John and Mildred (Saylor) Londis.  March 28, 1991 he married the former Mary Jane Stasinis who survives.

He obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Mount St. Mary College and obtained his PHD-Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the University of New Mexico.  Gary worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a clinical psychologist for 18 years.

Gary was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Sunbury and a member of the American Psychological Association.
He enjoyed traveling, quilting and reading.
In addition to his wife Gary is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Gabriel and Leann Londis of MA, his two daughters and sons-in-law Sarah and Jeremy Gregory and Julia and Bojan Dragicevic all of TX, stepdaughter Jackie and her husband Tom Kanan of NY, his grandchildren Sam, Sophia, and Ellie Gregory, Leo and Lucy Dragicevic, Lauren, Megan, and Nicholas Kanan, and his brother John Londis of NY.

He was preceded in death by his stepson RJ Brola.  
Friends and family may visit Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland.

A Mass of Christain burial will be held Friday at 11:00am in St. Monica Catholic Church, 109 Market Street, Sunbury, with Rev. Fred Wangwe AJ as celebrant, entombment will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park Stonington.

In lieu of flowers donations in Gary’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Dr. Ste 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
