Northumberland - Gail Louise Weir, 77 of Ridge Road was called into
eternity by her Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, May 18, 2026 at her home.
She was born October 13, 1948 in Sunbury, the daughter of the late Robert
James and Mamie Marie (Snyder) Bolton. On June 28, 1969 she married Dennis
Glenn Weir who survives.
Gail was a graduate of the first class of Shikellamy High School in 1966.
She was employed in the payroll department at Hall's Motor Company and
worked for many years as a pharmacy technician for Rea & Derick, later
CVS. Gail
finished her work years and then retired from Synergy Pharmacy in
Northumberland.
Mrs. Weir was of Baptist Faith.
Gail was an avid reader, loved to swim and shop and she took great joy in
traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandsons and
attending their many sporting events. She was a very social lady, spending
time with family and her many friends and playing Dominos and Play 9 with
ladies from her church and her friend group. Whenever Gail was around,
there was also the sound of much laughter, and she will undoubtedly be
remembered for her hospitality and generosity.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, Gail is survived by; her daughter
and son-in-law, Michele K. and Terry E. Wallace, son and daughter-in-law,
Marc R. and Nina K. Weir, her three grandsons, Trey Wallace and Connor and
Duncan Weir all of Northumberland.
She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Bolton III, and her parents
Robert and Mamie Bolton.
A viewing will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at
Christ Wesleyan Church, Sunbury Campus, 800 Market Street, Sunbury where
funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Shawn King officiating.
Entombment will be in the mausoleum at Orchard Hills, Cemetery, Shamokin
Dam.
Arrangements are by the Zweier Funeral Home, 157 Chestnut Street, Sunbury.
