Frank Laverio

Frank Laverio, 80, of Sunbury, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born on December 1, 1945, he was an orphan in Sheatown, Pennsylvania. 

Frank shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dorothy (Rowe) Laverio.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Pat Laverio (Ellyn), of Sunbury, and Scott C. Laverio (Stacy), of Harrisburg.   He is also survived by his sisters, Sharyn Williams of Shavertown, Bernadette Carl (Jerry), of Trevorton, and Jenny Shivelhood of Mt. Carmel. A sister-in-law Cindy Delassandro of Plymouth.  Grandchildren, Scott F. Laverio of Sunbury, Drayton P Laverio (Erika), of Northumberland, Shaylene R. Laverio of Sunbury, Brandon Mottern (Jess) and Austin Mottern (Madisyn) and by his great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

 Frank was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Dalesandro, and brother-in-law Wayne Williams.

Frank enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shooting pool, flying model airplanes, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He will be remembered for his love of life, his hobbies, and the time he shared with those closest to him.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Blank Funeral Home 395 State Street, Sunbury, where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.  

Burial will follow at Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

Donations in Franks memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 40 S 4th Street, Sunbury.
