Foster Delosier Obituary

Selinsgrove – Foster W. Delosier, 78, was received into the arms of Jesus, Sunday, December 8, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.

Foster was born June 15, 1941 in Sunbury a son of the late Russell and Alice (Kuhns) Delosier.  After his mother’s passing, Foster spent most of his formative years under the loving care of Randall and Grace Brenninger of Mifflinburg.

Foster attended Beaver Springs and Mifflinburg Schools.  

He was a member of the Sound of the Gospel Church in Selinsgrove.

On December 10, 1961, he married the former Linda Reichner.  His passing came just two days shy of a 58 year marital union.

Foster was blessed by six children.  Tony Leitzel, William Delosier and Tammy Hammaker, Kevin and Kathleen (Culp) Delosier, Lori and Lee Hoffman, Edward Delosier,  Kris and Jodi (Feldges) Delosier,  grandchildren Josh and Jen Leitzel, Amber (Leitzel) and Jason Keister, Nikole and Michael Nichols, Zakrie and Krista Culp, Elijah, Skylar, AzaRai, Jennifer and Shaun Higley, Eden, Kiryn and Taylor Delosier, great grandchildren Quinten, Josh and Kaitlynn Leitzel,  Abby Keister, Tucker, Kortney and Asher Culp, Kayden and Abby Higley, and great-great grandchild Jakson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Joseph, Donnie, Russell Jr. and sister Betty Brenninger.

Foster was the owner/operator/partner of several local businesses.  He owned Delosier Disposal and Hendricks Septic Service from the early 70’s until the late1980’s.  In 1991, he partnered with his wife and son Edward to form E&L Cleaning.

In his earlier years, he was involved in Kiwanis, Cub Scouts and coaching slow pitch softball.  He also was an avid supporter of Kris and Ed’s wrestling careers and the Chicago Bears.

A special mention of Bob and Betty Napp, Foster’s very close friends.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing at the Sound of the Gospel Church, 50 Gospel Way, Selinsgrove, Saturday December 14, from 10am – 12pm, where the funeral service will follow at 12pm with Pastor Kenny Cousar officiating.  

In lieu of flowers donations in Foster’s memory may be made to his church, the Sound of the Gospel, 50 Gospel Way, Selinsgrove 17870.  

Arrangements for the funeral services have been entrusted to the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland.
