Fay E. Switzer, 84, passed Jan. 14, 2024, in Watsontown Nursing and Rehab Center.
Fay was born May 26, 1939, a daughter of the late Fred E. and Florence (Springer) Wintersteen. She married Orval Switzer who preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Danville High School.
Fay was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, Sunbury.
She was also a member of the Upper Augusta fire company ladies auxiliary and the Red Hat Society.
Fay also enjoyed baking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Andrew and Daniel Switzer; brother Fred Wintersteen; grandchildren Matthew Switzer, Molly Golder, Samantha Neitz, Heather Switzer, Zeb Switzer, Ryan Shaffer, Ben Klinger and Jake Klinger; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews Elizabeth, Robert, and Donna Wintersteen, Barbara Jean Chiarello, Paul, Jimmy and Aaron Schultz.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son Todd Switzer, daughter Diane Miller, and sister Freda Schultz.
Friends and family may visit Monday, Jan. 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 968 Renns Road, Sunbury where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Light officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury.
