Evelyn Louise Ruch, 97, Northumberland, passed away on Jan. 10, 2024, at Emmanuel Home.
She was born at the Mary M. Packer Hospital in Sunbury on April 16, 1926. Evelyn was the
daughter of the late Charles W. and Jesta G. (Fultz) Russell.
Evelyn graduated from Northumberland High School in 1944. In 1947, she married Leonard Peter Ruch, who preceded her in death in 1974.
Evelyn worked for the Geisinger Medical Center until her retirement in1988, in 2003 she moved to the Pines Senior Housing in Northumberland.
She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Northumberland.
Surviving are her two sons, Peter Ruch (Linda Hunter) of Churubuscho, N.Y. and Tim (Debra)
Ruch of Tecumseh, MI; grandchildren Katherine Ruch, Zachary Ruch, Matthew Ruch, Andrew
Ruch, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie A. Gamby and Peggy A. Hess.
Services will be announced at a later date.
