Danville - Elmer L. Sabo, 82, of Church Street, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation.

 

Elmer was born May 14, 1941 in Mount Carmel a son of the late Thomas and Beatrice (Rowe) Sabo.  On April 24, 1976 he married the former Nancy Youst, who survives.

 

He worked in the dietary department at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

 

Elmer attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Danville.

 

He was a member of the Danville Senior Center, the Danville Moose and a lifetime member of Washies Fire Company.

 

Elmer enjoyed playing the tambourine and played for many local bands.

 

In addition to his wife he is survived by her family.

 

He was preceded in death by one brother.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
