Northumberland~ Eileen Bowersox, 93, formerly of Front Street, went to her Eternal resting place to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 9th at Serenity Gardens in Kulpmont.
◦ Eileen was born on July 25th, 1930, in Chapman Township to the late Frank A. Leach and Mary Jane (Arbogast) Leach.
◦ Eileen met the love of her life, Paul Bowersox and they married on June 30th, 1951. Together they enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. They were married for 52 years until Paul preceded her in death on November 11th, 2003.
◦ Eileen enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She loved cooking for everyone and never let anyone leave her home hungry. Eileen took pride in gardening and enjoyed making homemade gifts for family and friends. Eileen was an active member of her church-Trinity United Methodist. Eileen was a woman of faith and devoted her life to God.
◦ Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Paul; and five of her siblings; Helen Feaster, Kathryn Mensch, Franklin Leach, Almera Stahl, and Kenneth Leach.
◦ Eileen is survived by her daughter Pamela Johnson of Northumberland; granddaughter Shannon McGuigan of Northumberland; grandson Jason McGuigan and wife Tiffany of Coal Township; two great grandchildren Jaden and Derek; sister Mary Lou Smith and her husband Raymond; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit Thursday, December 14th at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland from 9-11 where the funeral service will follow at 11am with Chaplain Stefan Dinu officiating.
Interment will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
